What is the hurdy-gurdy.

I have often wondered what the wheel turning instrument is in this Amazing Folk song by Loreena Mckennitt - The Mummers' Dance (kinda odd video, but the music more than makes up for it). I saw the video years ago, but never bothered to figure out what that musical instrument with a wheel on it was.

Well Today, I was finally able to learn the answer (thanks TED!). It's called a hurdy-gurdy or a wheel fiddle. It defiantly sounds pretty cool, and I think it's the Drone string that makes this instrument sound amazing! Different instruments like this Hurdy-gurdy and the people that play them are fascinating.
